365 #227 – A new start

#227/365

For a while now, a friend of mine (Tom) and myself have been trying to learn to play the guitar, credit where it is due, Tom is doing much better than I am. We did two 10 week sessions of lessons and made some small progress. Recently another friend (Paul) who is a talented guitar player offered to give myself and Tom a lesson. So this evening we rolled up to Paul’s door for the lesson – we both learned loads, even some fairly basic things that make playing much easier, Paul has a talent not only for playing guitar but also for teaching – it all made so much sense. Both Tom and myself went home afterwards, re-engerised and looking forward to practicing before see Paul again next week. Even something basic like the choice of plectrum made a huge difference. I never liked using a plectrum but the red triangular one in the photo is one Paul gave me and I’m actually liking it. Thanks Paul, for the lesson, your patience & encouragement, you are a gent!
