365 #321 – Blue reflected

There seems to be a blue theme to my shots this week, starting with the Blue for Diabetes on Sunday and the Diabetes Blue Circles on Monday.

Today’s blue is different though, for me and I suspect many of my photographer friends, it reflects our blue feelings today as we said a final farewell to our friend Nico Den Heeten who died on Monday and is travelling to Holland tomorrow. We got to know Nico through his wife Aafke, one of the brightest and most encouraging people I know. All you need do is look back at my 365 and see how much encouragement she has given me throughout the project.

So when I saw some blue lights reflected in the water on the roof of my car, it just hit me that it reflected the blue we are feeling.

Farewell Nico, rest peacefully.

  1. Nice little tribute David and the minutes silence and walk dedication was a nice touch on Monday.
