365 #326 – Frank the Artist

Tonight myself and the family went to Dundalk for the opening of St.Oliver’s Art Group painting exhibition called “Seasons and Scenes”. We were there to support my wife’s uncle, Frank McCann, who started painting in recent years. The exhibition was opened by Fionnuala Croke, Director of the Chester Beatty Library, who happens to be Frank’s niece. It was great to see the work of Frank and his friends.

The work of some of the painters in the group, could well be gracing people’s homes this Christmas as 14 paintings have been selected to be used to create Christmas Cards which will be sold by St.Vincent de Paul, this is the second year the cards based on St.Oliver’s Art Group paintings have been produced. There’s an article about the cards on the Argus newspaper’s site here

Congratulations and well done to all involved.
